Skoda seven-seat crossover about to be green-lighted - report
We haven't heard much about Skoda's seven-seat crossover lately but a new report is indicating it is about to be green-lighted.
According to company insiders who spoke to Autocar, the model will be launched in late 2016 and be priced to compete with the Hyundai Santa Fe.

Mercedes C-Class Plug-in Hybrid could return 117.6 mpg
Mercedes' Head of Development for the C-Class Estate has revealed some new details about the C-Class Plug-in Hybrid.
In an interview with Motoring, Ralf Rossmanith said the model is still undergoing testing but has returned a fuel economy rating of approximately 2.0L/100km (117.6 mpg US / 141.2 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of less than 50 g/km. Final specifications are still pending but Rossmanith said the model currently has a 30 km (18.6 miles) electric-only range but that could be increased to 50 km (31 miles) for the Chinese market.
BMW working on a wireless inductive charging system
BMW has announced plans to develop a wireless inductive charging system for their plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Set to arrive in the mid-term, the system will consist of a floor-mounted base plate and an extremely lightweight charging coil at the bottom of the car. BMW says the system will have a charging rate of 3.6 kW and an efficiency factor of over 90 percent. While this isn't as good as a conventional charger, the company says a plug-in hybrid vehicle can be fully charged in less than three hours. In the future, the charging rate could increase to 7 kW which would significantly reduce that time.
Volvo V40 Polestar to have 315 bhp
New details are starting to emerge about the Volvo V40 Polestar.
According to Auto Express, the hot hatch will use the turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the 2015 XC90. It will reportedly produce 315 bhp (234 kW) and enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than six seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Alfa Romeo boss hints at a high-performance 4C - report
Alfa Romeo CEO Harald Wester has revealed the company could offer a high-performance 4C.
Speaking to Car & Driver, Wester said the turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine is "only at 136 horsepower per liter, so there is space" for additional power. The executive went on to say the car's carbon fiber monocoque can handle some extra oomph but the company would add high-performance brakes to match the upgraded engine.
2015 Ford Focus ST unveiled with revised styling & new diesel engine
Ford has unveiled the 2015 Focus ST, ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Looking instantly recognizable, the facelifted model is distinguished by modified bumpers, a new hood and slimmer headlights. The car has also been equipped with restyled fog lights and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
More rugged Seat Leon X-Perience introduced
Following an announcement made at the end of last year, Seat has introduced a more rugged version of the Leon ST called "X-Perience."
This new Leon ST derivative brings a +15mm increased ride height and additional plastic body cladding to create a more rugged appearance also enhanced by the front and rear aluminum underbody protection. It comes with black anodized roof rails and can be equipped with 17- or 18-inch unique alloy wheels while the side profile shows beefier door sills.
Toyota could axe Avensis model in 2018

Didier Leroy, Toyota??™s European boss, told Automotive News Europe the mid-sized car would be excluded from the company's plans to offer a hybrid version of every model sold in Europe by 2020.

2015 Ford Explorer revealed with new appearance package
Ford has taken the wraps off the 2015 Explorer.
Set to go on sale later this month, the updated model features 18-inch aluminum wheels, a Class III trailer tow package (on the Explorer Sport) and three new exterior colors including Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Caribou Metallic and Magnetic Metallic.
Carlsson tunes the facelifted Mercedes E-Class
Carlsson has introduced their new tuning program for the facelifted Mercedes E-Class.
Looking tastefully restrained, the model can be equipped with a new front spoiler, revised side skirts and a rear bumper with an "RS style" diffuser. The company also offers a rear spoiler, a variety of wheels and a sport exhaust system that creates a "sonorous" sound.
2015 BMW X6 M Sport unveiled
BMW has released the first pictures of the 2015 X6 equipped with the M Sport package.
Designed to appeal to customers who prefer a little less bling, the M Sport variant has an aerodynamic body kit that includes a new front bumper, revised side skirts and a rear diffuser insert. Other highlights include a matte aluminum grille, chrome exhaust tips and body color wheel arches. The crossover also has shadow line trim, an Adaptive M suspension and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
