2015 Kia Sorento unveiled with upscale styling

Kia has taken the wraps off the 2015 Sorento.

Set to debut at the Paris Motor Show, the crossover has an evolutionary design but appears significantly more upscale than its predecessor.

Starting up front, there's a prominent "tiger-nose" grille with a three-dimensional diamond pattern. The crossover also has sweptback headlights, a gently sloping roofline and a higher beltline. Other notable highlights include plastic body cladding, chrome trim and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.

The 2015 Sorento measures 4780mm long, 1685mm tall and rides on a wheelbase that spans 2780mm - an increase of 80mm.

Interior pictures were not released but Kia says we can expect a more accommodating cabin with "numerous innovative features."

Engine options remain a mystery but petrol options are expected to include a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 3.3-liter V6. There could also be 2.0- and 2.2-liter CRDi diesels as well as a new hybrid variant.

The 2015 Sorento will be introduced in South Korea later this month, so stay tuned for additional information.
