Maserati has outlined further details of its bold revival plan, including the name of its new, smaller SUV model that's due in 2021.

The brand's important second SUV, following the larger Levante, will be called the Grecale - named after the "fierce north-east wind of the Mediterranean Sea".

Destined to play "a key role in the brand's development", the Porsche Macan rival will be built on the same production line as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio in the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) plant in Cassino, Italy.

 
The aftermarket specialists from G-Power revealed today a new tuning program for the BMW X6M, which includes both a powerkit and a body kit. G-Power's new power package increases the BMW X6M's 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine from 575 hp to 750 hp / 551 kW at 6,500 rpm (+175hp / 129 kW) and 980 Nm of torque from 3000-4500 rpm (+230Nm).

The extra horsepower enables G-Power's X6M Bimmer to reach a top speed of more than 300 km/h and to run the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds. G-Power's new power kit for the BMW X6M includes the Bi-Tronik 2 V3 remap of the ECU (4,400.00 EUR), a new supercharger (3,850.00 EUR), downpipes with high performance catalysts (3,190.00 EUR), and a titanium exhaust system with four 102 mm carbon-titanium tailpipes (5,560.00 EUR).

 
Audi has released the first images and details of its fourth-generation A6 Allroad ahead of it going on sale in August.

Dubbed the A6 Allroad quattro, it arrives as Audi celebrates two decades since the first Allroad model was launched. Like its predecessors, it???‚?„?s based on the standard A6 Avant but adds rugged styling details, a raised ride height and standard all-wheel drive.

The A6 Allroad???‚?„?s body sits 45mm higher than the A6 Avant's, with standard adaptive air suspension tuned specifically for the off-road-focused model. It adjusts the ride height significantly depending on the car???‚?„?s speed and driving mode, lowering it at speeds above 74mph for better aerodynamic efficiency.

 
Kia will expand its already diverse Ceed line-up with a fourth bodystyle, the Xceed crossover, which has been shown in an image ahead of its unveiling later this month.

The Xceed will sit alongside the existing Ceed hatchback, Ceed Sportswagon estate and Proceed shooting brake when it goes on sale later this year. More of a Ford Focus Active rival than a fully-fledged SUV, it sits between the smaller Stonic and mid-size Sportage.

The side profile shot reveales that the Xceed is similar to the hatchback fore of the B-pillar but has more prominent shoulders, a chunkier rear-end and a sloping roofline. It also features the typical plastic lower body cladding and larger wheels.

Kia claims the new Xceed "represents a sporty alternative to traditional larger SUVs", with an elevated ride height but a lower hip point than cars like the Sportage giving a sportier driving position and better handling.

 
The SEMA Show is in full swing in Las Vegas this week, and Lexus is on hand with a roster of customized vehicles of its own. But the most intriguing, to our eyes, is also the most restrained.

Designed to appeal to wine connoisseurs, this custom ES 350 F Sport wears a special claret-red metallic paintjob and accents made from reclaimed oak barrels. It even has a wine refrigerator on board, and special cupholders for wine glasses and bottles. And it's topped off with a set of 20-inch Rays alloys and an Artisan Spirit aero kit.

 
The Nissan Terra made its public debut at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show in April this year and is already available to order in China and Southeast Asia. Despite earlier rumors that it might eventually reach the U.S. market, it seems that the Japanese automaker has taken the decision not to sell it in America. At least, for now.


A confirmation of Nissan???‚?„?s plans comes from Hironori Awano, chief vehicle engineer of the Terra, who recently declared that a launch in the United States ???‚??is out of our scope." While he acknowledged "the size is very nice for the U.S. market," safety requirements and other problems make it impossible to sell the seven-seat body-on-frame SUV Stateside.

 
On paper, a hybrid SUV sounds like an ideal blend, a car that offers versatility with a roomy interior and above-average fuel economy. The reality is a bit more complicated. Since SUVs sit higher off the ground, they create more aerodynamic drag than a sleek hybrid hatchback such as the Toyota Prius, which can achieve 50 mpg.

Finding somewhere to locate the hybrid battery pack, especially in an SUV that also needs to offer all-wheel drive, presents an additional challenge for automakers. Rear-seat and cargo space often suffer as a result. And while interest in hybrids tends to rise along with fuel prices, regular crossovers generally carry significantly lower prices without a major penalty at the pump.

The last time we saw Pininfarina at the Geneva Motor Show, the company was showing off its stunning hydrogen-powered race car, the H2 Speed. This year???‚?„?s concept should be no less stunning if we???‚?„?re to believe the first teaser ???‚??? but maybe a bit more practical.

Dubbed the H600, the concept was commissioned by the Hybrid Kinetic Group out of Hong Kong. The company, which focuses on ???‚??the development, manufacturing, and marketing of new energy vehicles and their key components,???‚?? will be touting its first concept car.

 
When the Outback doesn't have enough room, buyers can look to this upcoming three-row crossover for even more room.

Subaru has already confirmed that a seven-seat, three-row crossover is joining the brand??™s lineup in the United States and Canada in early 2018, and the Viziv-7 SUV Concept at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show is a good preview of how the company??™s biggest model could look. Subie is still keeping the automotive world guessing about the rest of CUV??™s important specs, though.

 
Nissan didn??™t only bring a full-size replica TIE Fighter to the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show because it would appeal to us nerdy automotive writers ??“ though that ploy sure worked. The real reason is because Nissan has teamed up with upcoming Star Wars movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to sell a special-edition Rogue crossover. Rogue crossover, Rogue One, see?.

The tongue-twistingly-named 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Edition features assorted ???Rebel Alliance??? and ???Galactic Empire??? logos, as well as ???Star Wars??? and ???Rogue One??? emblems. The crossover is offered only in black or white. The Star Wars-themed model is based on a Rogue SV with the Sun and Sound package, with buyers able to pick between front- and all-wheel drive. But no hyperdrive, as far as we??™re aware. It is, however, the first production car with any officially licensed Star Wars tie-in.

 
Ferrari has quietly started working on the next generation of its flagship supercar. Don??™t get too excited though, as the Italian company is only in the preliminary stages of development and has just reached an agreement with its longtime design, engineering, and software partner Altair Product Design on the project.

Altair will be preparing the platform of the LaFerrari successor that will also be used for ???several new flagship vehicle derivatives.??? A team of engineers and designers from the company has been working at Ferrari??™s vehicle development centre in Italy alongside the supercar manufacturer??™s own design, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

 
It's been three years since Ford Australia announced plans to end local vehicle production in October 2016, and the automaker just took another major step in that plan by building the final Falcon Ute. The Blue Oval assembled over 479,000 of them in Oz since 1961. The last one was a white XK6 model, CarsGuide reported.

Ford Australia will keep the final Falcon Ute and will display the vehicle at public events. ???It will be held in our historical vehicle fleet, along with the final Falcon and final Territory, both of which will be built on October 7,??? company spokesperson Wes Sherwood told CarsGuide.

 
While we already know what the second-generation Porsche Panamera looks like thanks to leaked photos, the new model's unveiling brings us the first complete details about the luxury sedan.

The Panamera now has a range of turbocharged engines, and every model is available with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed dual clutch gearbox. The Panamera 4S gets a biturbo 2.9-litre V6 with 434 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. When buyers spec it with the Sport Chrono Package, the four-door hustles to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in just 4.2 seconds. Porsche is always happy to offer customers more performance, and the Panamera Turbo now has a biturbo 4.0-litre V8 with 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. The quicker model can sprint from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in as little as 3.6 seconds. Finally, the Panamera 4S Diesel gets a biturbo V8 with 416 hp and a gargantuan 627 lb-ft. With the ability to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from a complete stop in 4.3 seconds with the Sport Chrono option, the sedan can move, too.



Beyond the updated powertrains, customers have a plethora of options available to keep the Panamera on the road when they push the big sedan. The adaptive air suspension now uses a three-chamber design, and buyers can order rear-axle steering, like on the 911. The company is also introducing the new InnoDrive system, which combines navigation data, radar, and video. Porsche claims the tech can calculate the perfect throttle inputs and gear selections for the three kilometres (1.9 miles) of road ahead.

 
Looking instantly recognizable, the updated model has an all-new grille which closely echoes the one used on the CT6. Additional styling changes are limited but the car has been equipped with a new rear bumper, vertical exhaust tips, and a revised rear valence. Rounding out the changes are a Carbon Black sport package, restyled wheels, and an updated colour palette that now includes Bronze Dune Metallic and Silver Moonlight Metallic.

Interior enhancements are fairly limited but the car has an upgraded CUE infotainment system which has access to the Cadillac Collection that allows users to install apps in a similar fashion to using Apple iTunes or the Google Play Store. The 2017 CTS also features streamlined trim packages and a newly optional Rear Camera Mirror which switches between a digital screen and a traditional mirror at the press of a button.

 
Subaru of America has taken the wraps off the 2017 Forester.

Looking instantly recognizable, the updated model has a new front fascia and a revised grille that is flanked by new headlights. The crossover has also revised LED taillights and a body-color rear spoiler on higher-end variants. Rounding out the changes are restyled wheels and a newly available Sepia Bronze Metallic exterior that is exclusive to the Forester Touring.

 
Mercedes is gearing up to launch the new SLC but it's celebrating an important birthday as the model's predecessor, the SLK, is turning 20 years old later this month.

Originally unveiled at the 1996 Turin Motor Show, the SLK was a wedged-shaped convertible which featured an innovative retractable folding metal roof. Given its sporty styling and relatively affordable price tag, the model was an instant success particularly with female buyers who liked the improved safety and additional sound insulation that the car's Vario roof provided. Mercedes also notes the SLK set "new standards in pioneering engineering and technology."

The model was originally launched as an SLK 200 and a supercharged SLK 230 K. A facelifted variant was introduced in 2000 and it saw the introduction of a 218 horsepower six-cylinder engine in the new SLK 320. It was soon following by a high-performance SLK 32 AMG which produced 354 hp.

 
We have stumbled upon a couple of images showing the interior of Peugeot??™s all-new 3008 due later this year.

Over the years, Peugeot has come up with some really quirky interior designs, but this time around it seems the French have done an excellent job. The adjacent pictures show the interior of the next-generation 3008 which as recent spy shots have shown, will make the transition from an MPV to a crossover.

 
Motor Trend is reporting the next-generation Volvo S60 could arrive as early as 2017 or 2018.

Little is known about the model but it is expected to feature an upscale design that follows in the footsteps of the S90. This means we can expect to see a stylish sedan with soft curves and optional Thor??™s Hammer LED headlights.

 
Winter testing continues as Kia has been spotted taking out the Optima Sportswagon (SW) for a quick spin on a chilly day.

Now in its fourth generation, the Optima is getting ready to receive a wagon version for the very first time in the model??™s existence. The prototype seen here still wears a lot of disguise, but the SPORTSPACE concept from the 2015 Geneva Motor Show gave us a sneak preview of the production model that will arrive later this year. We just hope the design won??™t get lost in translation from concept to production as the SPORTSPACE was a looker, to say the least.
