2015 Ford Explorer revealed with new appearance package

Ford has taken the wraps off the 2015 Explorer.

Set to go on sale later this month, the updated model features 18-inch aluminum wheels, a Class III trailer tow package (on the Explorer Sport) and three new exterior colors including Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Caribou Metallic and Magnetic Metallic.

XLT variants can also be equipped with a new appearance package that includes body-color door handles, black plastic body cladding and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The crossover also has Magnetic metallic paint the grille, mirrors and tailgate.

The package also adds heated leather / suede seats, contrast stitching, special floor mats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Other highlights include a MyFord Touch infotainment system and two 4.2-inch color displays in the instrument cluster.
