Nissan Pulsar Nismo under consideration

Nissan's Ponz Pandikuthira has revealed the company is considering a Pulsar Nismo.

Speaking to Autovisie, Pandikuthira said a production model "depends on the business case" and their ability to produce a competitive product. As he explained, "With 200 PS (147 kW) you are simply no match for the competition. You have to come up with at least 250 PS (184 kW) to seriously come across."

There's no word on what could power the model but the Juke Nismo RS has a 1.6-liter DIG-T engine that develops 218 PS (160 kW) and up to 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. That's a little short of the 250 PS (184 kW) figure mentioned by Pandikuthira but it could prove to be a nice starting point for the model.
