Porsche announces more high-priced special editions are on the way

Porsche has disclosed plans to prepare additional high-end limited editions, fueled by the success of the Panamera Exclusive Series.

At the end of last month, Porsche revealed a range-topping Panamera edition labeled "Exclusive Series" and limited to just 100 units. 48 hours later, there weren't any cars left as despite a hefty ?249,877 price tag, 100 customers quickly snatched the high-end Panamera based on the long wheelbase version and featuring a two-tone paint and a vast array of interior cabin tweaks.

Speaking at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche's head of research and development Wolfgang Hantz said "I wish we'd offered more cars for sale; the response has been incredible", adding that "we have learned from the project, and I'm sure we will do more in future."
