Volvo V40 Polestar to have 315 bhp
New details are starting to emerge about the Volvo V40 Polestar.
According to Auto Express, the hot hatch will use the turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the 2015 XC90. It will reportedly produce 315 bhp (234 kW) and enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than six seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Besides boasting a powerful engine, the model is slated to feature a sport-tuned suspension with stiffer springs and beefier anti-roll bars. We can also expect Ohlins shock absorbers and high-performance Brembo brakes.
It remains unclear if the model will be equipped with all-wheel drive but it's a possibility as the V40 Cross Country offers all-wheel drive on the range-topping T5.
