Japan has revealed the secret of cheapness of Chinese electric cars
The Japanese company Sanyo Trading organized an exhibition of Chinese electric cars in its home country, where more than a dozen disassembled models were presented. Thanks to this, experts from the Land of the Rising Sun managed to understand the secret of the cheapness of cars from the Celestial Empire.
Among the exhibits was BYD Atto 3, which costs about 20,000 dollars, which is considered a relatively affordable price by the standards of electric cars. Representatives of about 70 Japanese OEMs were amazed at the number of super-integrated components. In particular, the e-axle's electric drive consists of eight parts, including a motor, inverter, gearbox, charger and AC converter. This not only reduces the cost, but also the weight of the final design.
