Xiaomi plans to release gasoline-powered cars

Xiaomi has registered a patent describing fuel level display technology. It appears that the company is not only working on electric cars, but is also preparing to enter the gasoline or hybrid car market.

The patent describes a method that first determines the initial value of the displayed fuel level in the car's tank and then compares it with the sensor readings. If the difference exceeds the threshold, a series of sequential automatic adjustments are made until the deviation is minimal. This approach, as stated in the document, reduces sharp fluctuations in the displayed fuel level.

In addition, the company's latest patent applications describe chassis control functions, drift control systems, and methods for obtaining lithium iron phosphate material.

According to Chinese media reports, Xiaomi is preparing to release three new cars in the near future: the YU9 SUV with increased range, an updated version of the SU7, and an advanced model of the YU7 — the YU7 GT.
