Xiaomi has almost doubled the production of electric cars

Xiaomi's electric car division announced that it has crossed a new milestone - the production of the 200,000th electric car. It is noteworthy that it took almost half as long to create the second hundred thousand cars as it did for the first 100,000 cars.

The anniversary electric car of the company was a sedan Xiaomi SU7 in a special bright pink color, which was ordered by a young couple from China. It is reported that the car became unique, because the company has not previously released an electric car in this color.

Last November, Xiaomi set a world record for the speed of production of cars. It took the company 229 days to produce its first 100,000 Xiaomi SU7 electric cars. In comparison, Tesla was on its way to that mark in about 6 years, while XPeng took almost 2 years. It looks like Xiaomi was able to get production up and running as the second hundred thousand cars were produced in just 119 days.
