Xiaomi YU7 GT Announced The Fastest and Most Comfortable Version of the YU7 Crossover

Xiaomi has announced a “high-performance” version of the YU7 electric crossover called the YU7 GT and shared some details about it. For example, it has been revealed why, despite a top speed of 300 km/h, the car is called the GT rather than Ultra, like one of the SU7 model variants.

The Xiaomi YU7 GT crossover will feature two electric motors with a combined output of 1,003 hp and a top speed of 300 km/h. At the same time, the range, thanks to a triple lithium-ion battery pack, will be up to 705 km according to the CLTC standard.

According to company representatives, Xiaomi named the version GT (Grand Tourer or Gran Turismo) because the car combines maximum comfort with the ability to cover long distances at high speeds. Meanwhile, the Ultra version is a sports model, with the maximum power and performance needed for a fast lap time on the track. And that doesn’t always go hand in hand with comfort during everyday use.

The Xiaomi YU7 GT will be released in late May.
