Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric sedan has set a speed record on the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife track. The car received the title of the fastest electric car among production models.

The electric car completed the lap in 7 minutes 4.957 seconds. The record was possible thanks to the use of a set of two branded V8 and one V6 engines with a total output of 1,548 horsepower, as well as a torque vectoring system. With such characteristics, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes only 1.98 seconds, and the top speed exceeds 350 km/h.

The Nürburgring is one of the most difficult tests for cars, where their reliability in extreme conditions is tested. In parallel, Xiaomi announced the expansion of cooperation with the race track. As part of the partnership, a new corner called Xiaomi Curve was officially unveiled on a section of the Grand Prix circuit.

Xiaomi has become a test participant at the Nürburgring circuit as part of the so-called “Industry Pool”. This cooperation gives the company the opportunity to conduct intensive tests and accelerated run-in of new technological solutions, including components and systems of future generations of electric cars.
