Key specs of Xiaomi YU7 crossover revealed before the announcement

Chinese agency MIIT has published some specifications of the yet-to-be-announced Xiaomi YU7 crossover. In addition to design details, such features of the electric car as its dimensions, maximum speed and range in different versions have also become known.

Judging by the published documentation, the body dimensions of the novelty will be 4999 x 1996 x 1680 mm, and the wheelbase - 3000 mm. The car will get a LiDAR sensor, frameless exterior mirrors, as well as five-spoke wheels.

In the cabin, instead of the usual dashboard, a wide screen will be installed. It reportedly serves to display key information such as remaining range, speed, navigation and multimedia data.

The twin-engine, all-wheel-drive version of the Xiaomi YU7, according to the source, will be equipped with front and rear engines with 220 kW and 288 kW respectively, which will allow the car to reach a top speed of 253 km/h.

The more affordable version will have two engines with a total output of 365 kW, while the single-engine rear-wheel drive configuration will get a single 235 kW engine and will be able to accelerate up to 240 km/h.

The Xiaomi YU7 is expected to premiere in June or July this year. The expected starting price is from $34,500.
