Xiaomi YU7 GT with 990 horsepower unveiled
Xiaomi continues to expand its presence in the automotive industry: the YU7 GT, the most powerful version of the brand's electric crossover, has officially appeared in the database of the Chinese regulator MIIT. The car differs from the base version both technically and externally.
According to the information provided, the YU7 GT has a twin-motor electric powertrain: 288 kW on the front axle and 450 kW on the rear. This adds up to 738 kW or approximately 990 horsepower, which is enough to accelerate to a maximum speed of 300 km/h.
The GT version looks noticeably different: a redesigned front bumper, extended fenders, a massive rear diffuser, and a red GT badge on the rear. The look is complemented by 21-inch wheels and red brake calipers — it is possible that carbon-ceramic discs are hidden behind them. The MIIT also lists a number of customization options: from spoilers and decals to different wheel options and caliper colors.
The YU7 GT will have the following dimensions: length 5015 mm, width 2007 mm, and wheelbase 3000 mm. Power is provided by a triple CATL lithium battery, but there is no data on capacity, range, or charging speed yet.
According to rumors, the price of the new model in China will range from 450,000 to 500,000 yuan (from $65,000 to $72,000).
