Xiaomi Has Significantly Improved Its SU7 Electric Vehicle
The Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle has received several notable upgrades. For example, it now features a more durable body and improved range. Moreover, some flagship features have been moved from the top-tier trim level to the base model.
In critical areas of the body, steel with a tensile strength of 2,200 MPa is now used, compared to 2,000 MPa in the previous model, and the battery pack is reinforced with a scratch-resistant steel crossbar capable of withstanding 1,500 MPa of pressure. Additionally, the Standard and Pro trims have switched from a 400-volt to a 752-volt architecture with silicon carbide inverters, while the Max trim has upgraded from 871 V to 897 V. Range has also increased across all trims:
The top-tier trim level also received a new fast-charging feature and can now replenish a range of 670 km in 15 minutes (previously 510 km), while charging from 10% to 80% takes 11 minutes thanks to “5C supercharging.”
According to company representatives, some top-tier features are now available in the lower-priced trims as well: all versions are equipped with the Xiaomi V6s Plus motor, with the power of the single-motor Standard and Pro versions increasing from 299 to 320 horsepower, and the dual-motor Max version from 673 to 690 horsepower.
LiDAR is now also installed in all models, and the processor power has increased from 508 to 700 TOPS. As a result, the Xiaomi HAD (Highway Autonomous Driving) autopilot is now available across the entire lineup. T
