XPeng has revealed a competitor to the Tesla Model Y electric crossover G7
XPeng has unveiled an electric crossover G7, which in the maximum configuration is cheaper than the most inexpensive Tesla Model Y. According to the company, the novelty has advanced interior equipment, travels 702 kilometers on a single charge, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes 6.5 seconds.
XPeng G7 is equipped with one electric motor with an output of 292 hp. As for the battery, there are two modifications: for 602 km (68.5 kWh) and 702 km (80.8 kWh) respectively (according to CLTC). The crossover can also power external devices up to 6 kW. There's fast charging too, with the ability to restore range to 436 km in 10 minutes. Thanks to the adaptive AI suspension, the crossover adjusts to road conditions “in milliseconds”.
Inside, there's a center 15.6-inch touchscreen display and a multimedia system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor. There's also a wide 87-inch projection screen developed with HUAWEI. At the rear, there is an 819-liter trunk with the option to increase to 2,277 liters by folding the seats. There is an additional 120-liter space under the trunk floor and a 42-liter compartment at the front.
There are also two pads with 50-watt wireless charging, a 20-speaker audio system and a panoramic sunroof, while rear-row passengers have an 8-inch screen, individual climate control settings, a folding table and their own wireless charging.
The maximum configuration received two Turing AI chips with performance of 2250 TOPS and autopilot of the third level. The base version has two NVIDIA Orin-X chips with a performance of 508 TOPS.
The G7 costs between $27,325 and $31,510, while the minimum price for the Tesla Model Y in China is $36,784.
