Volvo has launched mass production of the new ES90 electric sedan, which has taken one of the flagship positions in the brand's model range. It is built on the latest architecture, offers a spacious interior and increased ground clearance.

In terms of architecture, the latest 800-volt SPA2 is used here. Thanks to this, the electric car is capable of “getting” up to 300 km of range in just 10 minutes of charging from a 350 kW station. The 102 kWh battery will provide a range of up to 700 km.

The engines develop 680 horsepower, and the car accelerates to 100 km/h in about 4 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 180 km/h. The car is equipped with LiDAR, cameras, and radars, which allow it to detect small objects hundreds of meters ahead.

The package also includes a door opening warning system, passenger presence monitoring in the cabin, and a surround view. The interior features a 14.5-inch touchscreen based on the Google operating system, a projection display, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 25 speakers. Two NVIDIA DRIVE Orin processors are responsible for the operation of the intelligent systems. The 733-liter luggage compartment is supplemented by a small 22-liter front compartment.

In Europe, prices start at $84,000 and reach $100,000 for the top-of-the-range versions.
