The Volvo EX60 has become the brand's smartest electric car
Volvo has officially revealed the appearance and specifications of its new EX60 electric crossover. The model fits between the EX40 and EX90 and has become one of the brand's most technologically advanced new models in recent years.
The EX60 is Volvo's fastest-charging and longest-range electric vehicle. With an 800-volt, 400-kW charger, it can recharge up to 173 miles of range in 10 minutes. In the US, this will be the first Volvo model to feature a NACS port as standard.
The model is available in three versions: P6 RWD (83 kWh battery and a range of up to 500 km), P10 AWD (95 kWh and up to 515 km), and P12 AWD (117 kWh and up to 644 km). All versions can be charged from 10 to 80% in less than 20 minutes. The manufacturer also provides a 10-year battery warranty. The top version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and the P6 in 5.7 seconds.
The car is equipped with an NVIDIA Drive AGX Orin platform and a Qualcomm 8255 processor with an integrated Google Gemini chatbot. Volvo calls this model its smartest car.
The EX60 Cross Country version is presented separately, with 20 mm increased ground clearance, wider wheel arches, underbody protection, and off-road design.
Production of the EX60 will start in April, with deliveries scheduled for the summer. According to Volvo, the price will start at around $60,000.
