Volkswagen showed a budget electric car ID. EVERY1
Volkswagen has unveiled the concept of a new electric car, the ID. EVERY1, which is positioned as a "people's" entry-level model. The company also announced that it plans to release a whole line of budget electric cars.
Externally, the ID. EVERY1 is somewhat reminiscent of the first-generation petrol Golf hatchback. The body dimensions are 3880 x 1816 x 1490 mm, the trunk volume is 305 liters. The electric car will operate on the basis of the second-generation VW MEB modular platform.
The Volkswagen ID. EVERY1 electric motor will have a power of 94 hp (70 kW), a maximum speed of 130 km/h, and a range of up to 250 km on a single charge. The company also says that the production version of the car will receive advanced software with the ability to be updated wirelessly.
In addition, Volkswagen will transfer some modular components from the ID Buzz model to the budget segment. The dashboard of the future new product will house a module for attaching various accessories, and a small removable Bluetooth speaker will be installed between the driver and front passenger.
The expected retail price of the Volkswagen ID. EVERY1 is €20,000, and the sales start date for the electric car has not yet been announced.
