Verge TS Pro Motorcycle with Solid-State Battery Enters Production
Verge Motorcycles has announced the start of mass production of the TS Pro electric motorcycle, equipped with a solid-state battery from the Finnish company Donut Lab. The manufacturer promises record-breaking range and phenomenal charging speed.
Judging by the tests, this claim holds true. The motorcycle is powered by a 100 kW motor with 1,000 Nm of torque. The base model features a 20.2 kWh battery with a range of up to 350 km and supports 100 kW charging.
The top-of-the-line version features a 33 kWh battery, which provides a range of up to 600 km when charged at 200 kW charging stations. The manufacturer claims that charging from 10% to 50% takes just 5 minutes, and to 70% takes 9 minutes. Previously, Donut Lab published test results for its batteries, proving their efficiency and safety.
The motorcycle supports four riding modes and over-the-air software updates.
The TS Pro starts at $29,990. The first deliveries to customers are expected in the near future.
