Texas-based Hennessey Performance has unveiled the Venom F5 Evolution, a hypercar with 2,031 horsepower. Thanks to such impressive figures, the model became a new record holder among cars with internal combustion engines.

To achieve record-breaking performance, Hennessey engineers, together with Ilmor Engineering, changed the design of several components. The car uses the world's largest mirror turbochargers, oval aluminum pistons and titanium exhaust valves. The upgraded 6.6-liter V8 engine, codenamed Fury, develops 1958 Nm of torque.

The peculiarity of the model is also in the complete absence of hybrid technology. The car received a new adaptive suspension with five modes, including a special F5 Mode for maximum performance. According to the engineers' claims, the Evolution accelerates from zero to 322 km/h in 10.3 seconds. That's faster than the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and the Rimac Nevera.

The Evolution is not positioned as a standalone model, but as a $285,000 optional upgrade. It is compatible with all three Venom F5 variants, including the Coupe, Roadster and Revolution. Moreover, owners of current cars can also upgrade to the Evolution version.
