Toyota has shown a fully electric version of the CH-R crossover, which was previously only available with an internal combustion engine or hybrid. The company talked about its characteristics and also announced that the bZ4X electric car will receive a more capacious battery.

The electric version of the Toyota CH-R is built on the e-TNGA platform, received the Plus prefix and several versions: there is a front-wheel drive modification with a 167-horsepower electric motor and a 57.7 kWh battery (455 km), a front-wheel drive with a 77 kWh battery (600 km) and a 224-horsepower engine, as well as the most powerful modification with the same battery, all-wheel drive and a 343 hp engine. In the cabin, there are several buttons for controlling the car's equipment and a touch screen on the center console. The dashboard is fully digital.

The company has also updated the Toyota bZ4X electric car, also built on the e-TNGA platform. The innovations affected the interior and the power supply system: now the battery can be heated, which will reduce the express charging time in frost by half. Thus, at -10 °C the car will charge from 10 to 80% in half an hour. The charging power remained the same and is 150 kW, but the battery is now 57.7 kWh (445 km) or 73.1 kWh (573 km).

Both models will hit the European market before the end of the year.
