Tesla has unveiled a six-seater version of its Model Y electric vehicle in China. In addition to the number of rows, it features an enlarged luggage compartment, a longer body, and several other exterior and interior details.

The new model is called the Model YL and is currently only available for order in China. The main difference from the base Model Y is the third row of seats. To create more space, Tesla has lengthened the Model Y by 180 mm, increased its height by 24 mm, and extended its wheelbase by 150 mm. The luggage compartment volume with the seats folded down is 2,539 liters, compared to 1,840 liters in the Model Y.

Thanks to the new, more powerful battery, the range is the same as that of the Model Y Long Range AWD and is 751 km (CLTC). The price for the new model in China starts at around $47,000, while the base Model Y is priced from $36,679.
