Tesla Cybertruck rusts after being exposed to a magnet
Nick, a Tesla Cybertruck owner from Seattle, Washington, encountered an unpleasant surprise after he attached a magnet to his electric pickup truck. After some time, the first signs of corrosion appeared on the body of the electric car.
Nick shared his unpleasant experience on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum in a thread titled “Don't put magnets on your Cybertruck! Corrosion?”
“I feel like an idiot. I decided to put promotional magnets on my Cybertruck. I took them off to wash the truck a month later and my heart shuddered..... Rust and corrosion,” writes the owner of the electric pickup.
The attached images show whitish spots surrounded by brown rusty areas, indicating surface corrosion. Nick noted that after removing the magnets and attempting to clean the vehicle, signs of corrosion remained. This statement caused concern among other Cybertruck owners.
After Nick's post about the incident was published, other Cybertruck owners also shared similar stories in the comments.
