Sharp unveils LDK+ electric car with “home-like” interior

Japanese company Sharp, known primarily for manufacturing televisions, has unveiled its LDK+ concept car. This electric car is designed as an extension of the smart home, and its interior is designed in such a way that the vehicle can easily be transformed into a relaxation area, office, or cinema on wheels.

LDK stands for Living, Dining, Kitchen. In the updated version, Sharp has chosen the form of a large SUV with a swivel driver's seat, a folding table, and a built-in projector.

In the rear of the cabin, you can lower the screen and watch a movie or hold an online meeting, and if necessary, use the car as a place to relax.

Unlike the first version from 2024, which was designed as a minivan with a 65-inch display and solar panels on the roof, the updated LDK+ has become more practical.

The model will be able to connect to home solar panels and energy storage systems, helping to distribute power between the home and the car. The new LDK+, created in collaboration with manufacturer Foxconn, was unveiled on October 30 at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo.
