The electric Range Rover GT is the brand's first model that is not an SUV.

Land Rover officially unveiled the new Range Rover GT, the fifth model in the brand's lineup and its first non-SUV. The new model is a four-door electric grand tourer with a sloping roofline.

The Range Rover GT is built on the new EMA platform and will initially be available exclusively as an all-electric model. However, the architecture also allows for the possibility of a gasoline-powered hybrid version. Production will be organized at the Halewood plant in the United Kingdom, where models with conventional and hybrid powertrains are already produced.

The interior features a new style for the brand, with minimal physical controls. The traditional instrument cluster is replaced by a separate digital display in front of the driver, with a large multimedia system screen occupying the center. The air vents are integrated into the dashboard and are virtually invisible, while the fabric trim conceals the integrated speakers. Rear passengers are provided with two separate seats with a central control console.
According to the manufacturer, the Range Rover GT is designed to combine the comfort of a Grand Tourer with the brand's signature off-road capabilities. The company also claims the GT will be the most technologically advanced Range Rover yet, although powertrain specifications, range, and performance are not yet being disclosed.

Range Rover CEO Martin Limpert noted that the company has been working for several years to reimagine the GT concept. He stated that the new model will be "the most passenger-car-like Range Rover in the brand's history," while maintaining the brand's traditional qualities: high levels of comfort, extensive driving range, and confident off-road capability.

Range Rover GT prototypes are already undergoing final road testing, with the full premiere taking place later this year.
