The PeBL 2 electric velomobile can travel up to 80 km on a single charge
Urban eco-friendly transport is becoming increasingly relevant, as evidenced by the announcement of the unusual PeBL 2 velomobile from Beulah. The new product combines a pedal drive and an electric motor, which makes it a universal solution for urban travel.
The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 32 km/h and has an electric range of 80 kilometers, making it suitable for daily commuting without frequent recharging. The 1000 Wh battery takes 4 to 6 hours to recharge.
The body is made of fiberglass composite and has been redesigned for improved aerodynamics and a sleeker shape. Suspension is installed both at the front and rear. The tires are 3 inches thick and can be replaced with 4 inches.
Additionally, the velomobile can be equipped with a 100W solar panel on the roof to maintain charge throughout the day and extend the range. The company has already opened pre-orders for the PeBL 2, with first deliveries scheduled for late 2024.
The cost of the velomobile is about $8,500.
