Omo X electric scooter self-balances and parks itself
Chinese startup company Omoway, founded by former Xpeng employees, has unveiled the Omo X, the world's first smart electric moped with self-balancing and self-parking features. The prototype has already made its debut in Jakarta.
During the presentation, the Omo X autonomously rode onto the stage, precisely took its position and climbed onto the center footrest without human assistance. The technology is based on the Halo Pilot system, which includes adaptive cruise control, automatic exit from tight spaces, collision warning, blind spot monitoring and emergency braking.
The vehicle can be remotely summoned to itself, and to charge, simply park on a platform with wireless charging. In terms of design, the Omo X inherits cyberpunk ideas and evokes the BMW CE 04 or the upcoming Ultraviolette Tesseract.
Interchangeable body panels allow it to transform from a classic scooter into a full-fledged motorcycle with the possibility of installing luggage cases and boxes. Power and range specifications have not been disclosed yet. The model will go on sale in Asian countries in early 2026 at an estimated price of $3800.
