Nissan unveils NX8 electric crossover with ultra-fast charging
Nissan has officially unveiled its new NX8 crossover. The vehicle will be a key model in the Japanese brand's electric lineup, especially in the Chinese market, where the company has recently launched several successful models.
The NX8 is built on an 800-volt platform and uses a CATL-manufactured LFP battery with 5C ultra-fast charging technology. The manufacturer claims that the battery can be fully recharged in just 12 minutes. The model is equipped with two versions of the motor — 215 kW (290 horsepower) or 250 kW (335 horsepower) depending on the configuration.
The hybrid EREV version combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 109 kW (145 hp) with a 195 kW (260 hp) electric motor. This option offers a slightly shorter electric range compared to the N6 sedan.
The first deliveries of the Nissan NX8 are expected in April 2026, but prices have not yet been announced.
