Mercedes reveals interior of new GLB EV
The German automaker has unveiled the interior of its new GLB EV electric crossover. The updated version of the popular family car promises to be one of the most technologically advanced in its class.
The new model is being tested at the Mercedes technology center in Sindelfingen. There, the car is tested under extreme conditions. For example, at temperatures ranging from -40 to +40 °C, with winds of up to 200 km/h and artificial snowfall.
The new GLB EV has an optional “floating” screen that stretches across the entire width of the dashboard. There is also a multifunction steering wheel with cruise control switch, recessed door handles with an additional compartment, and a center console with wireless charging and cup holders.
Compared to the previous generation, the interior has become more spacious, and a third row of seats is available as an option. The climate control system has also been updated: it now heats the interior twice as fast as before, consuming half as much energy.
The full presentation of the Mercedes GLB EV is expected on December 8.
