Mercedes-Benz Unveils Updated EQS with a Range of Up to 926 km
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an updated version of the EQS electric fastback, which is significantly closer to a new generation than a simple facelift. The company has focused primarily on increasing the range and transitioning to a more modern architecture.
The range of the EQS 450+ version now reaches 926 km on the WLTP cycle, which is approximately 13% more than the previous figure. This was made possible by a new 800-volt system and a battery with increased capacity up to 122 kWh. Fast charging at up to 350 kW allows for about 320 km of range in 10 minutes. There is also support for reverse charging to power other devices.
The new EQS runs on the MB.OS operating system with the MBUX virtual assistant powered by Microsoft AI. Additionally, the updated model features micro-LED headlights with a range of up to 600 meters and improved air suspension.
In terms of specifications, the new EQS is now comparable to electric vehicles from Porsche and Hyundai. Mercedes has also introduced a more affordable version, the EQS 400.
