Mercedes AMG CLA 45 with three electric motors tested at Goodwood

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new all-electric four-door coupe, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Young Formula 1 driver Kimi Antonelli was at the wheel of the car at the premiere.

The new model features three electric motors. One is located on the front axle, and two are located on the rear. The electric car's total output is 500 kW (680 horsepower), and torque reaches 1,759 Nm.

Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 2.7 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), or 269 km/h (165 mph) with the AMG Dynamic Plus package. The car is built on an 800-volt architecture and supports charging at up to 330 kW.

The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 is equipped with a 94 kWh battery and has a range of up to 670 kilometers (430 miles) according to the WLTP cycle. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes, and just 10 minutes at a charging station provides approximately 270 kilometers (170 miles).

The model also received an active rear spoiler, adjustable suspension, improved brakes and aerodynamic elements to increase stability at high speeds.
