Mazda has unveiled its flagship EZ-60 electric crossover SUV
Japanese automaker Mazda has officially announced the EZ-60 electric crossover, positioned as a new flagship in the brand's lineup. The model stands out with a streamlined aerodynamic design and a range of over 600 kilometers.
EZ-60 will receive the Changan EPA1 modular platform developed jointly by Mazda and Changan. The electric car comes with a rear-wheel drive system in two power variations: a 215 horsepower base engine and a higher output 255 horsepower engine. Buyers will also be able to choose between two batteries: standard for 520 kilometers of mileage and increased, providing up to 628 kilometers without recharging. The developers paid special attention to the system of fast charging: the battery replenishes 80% of capacity in just 30 minutes.
Instead of the usual rearview mirrors there are compact cameras that transmit the image to the displays in the cabin. The rear part of the body received Mazda's signature inscription, located under thin horizontal headlights visually expanding dimensions of the model. Speaking of them: the car reaches 4.8 meters in length and 1.93 meters in width with a height of 1.625 meters.
It is assumed that the cost of the novelty will be higher than that of its Chinese counterpart Deepal S07, whose price range ranges from 20,000 to 26,500 dollars.
