Mazda unveils new electric crossover with huge screen in the cabin
Mazda has unveiled its new CX-6e electric crossover, which will soon be available in Europe, Australia, and a number of other markets. It premiered in Brussels, with sales scheduled to start in the summer of 2026.
Technically, this is Mazda's second electric vehicle, created in partnership with China's Changan Auto. The CX-6e is built on the EPA electric platform. At 4850 mm long, 1935 mm wide, and 1620 mm high with a wheelbase of 2902 mm, this mid-size electric SUV is slightly longer and narrower than the Tesla Model Y.
In Europe, the CX-6e will be equipped with an LFP battery and a 190 kW rear electric motor. The WLTP range is 484 km, and fast charging at 195 kW allows you to recharge for 240 km in 15 minutes.
Inside, there is a large 26-inch infotainment screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support are claimed. Driver assistance systems are also provided.
The price in Germany starts at €49,900, which is significantly higher than the Model Y. Mazda has officially announced that the CX-6e will not be available in the US: a separate electric crossover is being developed for the American market, with a launch expected in 2027-2028.
