Lexus revives the LFA supercar in the form of an “electric train”

Lexus has unveiled a new generation of the LFA concept sports car. This time, the car will be fully electric. The company notes that the concept represents the next generation of sports cars.

The new model is being developed in parallel with the Toyota GR GT and GR GT3 racing cars and will share key technologies with them, including an all-aluminum frame. At the same time, the LFA will feature a unique design and luxurious interior.

The interior of the electric sports car features an RZ-style steering wheel and a minimalist layout designed to create a “unique sense of engagement.” In terms of size, the concept is close to modern supercars. It will feature a lower center of gravity, a lightweight but reinforced structure, and improved aerodynamics.

The electric drive specifications are still under wraps, but Lexus has confirmed that the new version of the LFA will be 100% electric. Toyota plans to launch its first solid-state battery on the market as early as 2027. It is expected that the LFA will be the first model to feature the new type of battery.

Against this backdrop, Toyota is maintaining its traditional approach: the GR GT will feature a hybrid powertrain with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and a single electric motor, while the Century brand will continue to produce cars with internal combustion engines.
