Leapmotor has released an electric vehicle priced at $9,500

Leapmotor has unveiled its new compact electric crossover, the A10. The model is aimed at the mass market and stands out primarily for its affordable price.

The manufacturer expects the vehicle to become one of the most affordable electric cars in its class. The vehicle is equipped with a single electric motor rated at 70 or 90 kW (95 and 125 horsepower, respectively) with 150 Nm of torque.

A single charge of the 53 kWh battery allows for a range of over 500 km. This makes the model suitable for both city driving and long-distance trips. The car also supports fast charging at up to 100 kW: in 15 minutes, the battery can be recharged from 30% to 80%.

Additionally, the vehicle features driver-assistance systems, including automatic parking, intelligent navigation, and autopilot functions.

The electric car is already on sale in China at a starting price of approximately $9,500.
