Production Kia KX3 spied without camouflage

The Kia KX3 has been photographed in production trim without any camouflage in China.

The model has a familiar design that closely echoes the concept, revealed at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. The only visual changes we noticed are the fog lights with different shape and the headlights and taillights with new graphics.

The KX3 shares the same platform with the Hyundai ix25 and will hit dealerships in China in March 2015. It will be produced by the Donfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture and will reportedly be offered with two petrol engines. Both they have a displacement of 1.6 liters ??“ one naturally aspirated with 123 HP (90 kW) and 151 Nm (111 lb-ft) of torque and one turbocharged with 200 HP (147 kW) and 264 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque.

A six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic will be available for the naturally aspirated version, while the turbo variant will be equipped with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
