Kia unveiled its most compact electric vehicle, the EV2
Kia officially unveiled its new production electric vehicle, the EV2, at the Brussels Motor Show. The model is positioned as the entry point into the brand's electric lineup and is set to become Kia's most affordable electric car in Europe.
The electric car measures 4060 x 1800 x 1575 mm. The model is built on the E-GMP platform and will be available with two battery options: 42.2 and 61 kWh, offering a range of 317 and 448 km, respectively.
The car supports fast charging with the ability to recharge from 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes. It supports 11 and 22 kW chargers. The EV2 also features V2L and V2G functions, a digital key, and a wide range of driver assistance systems.
Production of the base version of the EV2 will begin in Slovakia in the first quarter of 2026, with more expensive versions to follow later. The price has not yet been disclosed, but it should be lower than that of the EV3 (from $30,000 or €32,000).
