The Kia EV2 electric crossover has exceeded its stated range.

The compact electric crossover Kia EV2 demonstrated surprisingly good results in independent testing in Norway. In real-world driving conditions, the car not only matched its claimed range but actually exceeded it.

The base version with a 42.2 kWh battery traveled 325 kilometers on a single charge. For comparison, the official WLTP range is 308 kilometers. This means the car traveled approximately 5% more than the stated range.

The more autonomous EV2 GT-Line also performed well. The car traveled 428 kilometers, which was also slightly higher (by 2%) than the official estimate. Furthermore, the model demonstrated very low energy consumption—just 12.4 kWh per 100 kilometers.

The Kia EV2 took first place in tests among compact and mid-size electric cars. Prices in Europe start at approximately €26,600.
