Jeep unveils Recon electric SUV
Jeep has officially confirmed the release of the Recon electric SUV. The model, which had been rumored to be canceled, will go into production in early 2026.
Initial sales will begin in the US and Canada. The model will be the only Jeep electric vehicle with Trail Rated certification. This means that it has passed tests for traction, water fording, maneuverability, and ground clearance.

The Recon will feature the Selec-Terrain system, electronic axle locks, underbody protection, tow hooks, and off-road tires. The batteries are additionally protected from damage by steel plates.
As with the Wrangler, the doors and rear side windows can be completely removed without tools. The car is equipped with 250 kW front and rear EDM electric modules.
The interior offers a wide range of customization options: modular door panels, removable seat belts, and various luggage storage options. Inside, there is a new 12.3-inch instrument panel screen and a central 14.5-inch touchscreen display.
The Recon will offer 650 horsepower and a range of about 400 km. The price starts at $66,995 including delivery, which makes the new model slightly cheaper than the Wagoneer S.
