Hyundai announced an electric version of the Creta crossover vehicle
Hyundai has announced a branded crossover Creta Electric. The novelty became the first representative of the series with an electric powertrain, retaining the recognizable design.
Externally, the Creta Electric has undergone minor changes compared to the previous model of the lineup. Instead of a massive grille in the gasoline version, the novelty has a blank panel with a charging port. The lower part of the bumper has active air intake louvers. The car in Ocean Blue body color is equipped with 17-inch wheels.
The company has not yet disclosed the characteristics of the electric motor, but claims that the Creta Electric accelerates to a hundred in 7.9 seconds - faster than the gasoline-powered Creta N Line. The base version of the electric car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 42 kWh (range up to 389 km), and the top - a battery with 51.4 kWh (up to 473 km). Fast charging technology swings the battery from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes.
In the interior of the Creta Electric, the steering wheel and gear selector have been updated. The handle on the center console allows drivers to choose one of three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Sport. The manufacturer has also installed a 10.2-inch screen on the dashboard.
The full presentation of the Hyundai Creta Electric will take place on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Show in India.
