Honda announced two electric cars with “space” design

Honda has announced the date for the presentation of its two new cars based on the Honda Zero electric platform, as well as the operating system for them. Judging by the official teaser, one of the key features of both models will be the original body design.

The presentation will take place at CES 2025. The Zero platform, as Honda claims, makes electric cars lighter and “space-age” compared to “the current generation of heavy, square electric SUVs and trucks.” On top of that, the car brand is integrating its robotics developments and expertise in Formula One into the new series.

“The new Honda Zero platform is similar to other electric vehicle platforms on the market in terms of acceleration and handling. Thanks to its light weight, the CR-V prototype was quick and smooth through corners even at peak. The transmission is quick and responsive, and on the short straight that the engineers prepared for our test laps, I hit 110 km/h,” Abigail Bassett told The Verge after an early test of one of the electric cars.

The presentation teaser shows the silhouettes of two concept cars shown earlier this year: the Saloon and Space-Hub. Judging by the fact that their silhouettes are shaded, the company has probably made some changes to their design. Technical specifications, date of possible start of sales and prices of future novelties are unknown.
