Genesis unveils X Skorpio luxury SUV concept
South Korean brand Genesis, owned by Hyundai, has unveiled the X Skorpio concept car, designed for off-road driving and inspired by legendary desert rallies such as the Dakar Rally. The company is positioning it as an experimental vehicle with the capabilities of a true SUV.
Under the hood is a 1,100 horsepower V8 engine with 1,152 Nm of torque. For driving on sand dunes, it features 40-inch off-road tires, 18-inch wheels, and a suspension with high ground clearance. The car can withstand hard landings and jumps.
The body is made of a combination of fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, while safety is ensured by a frame and protective plates. Brembo brakes allow you to control the enormous power.
Inside, there are four seat belt attachment points, physical switches for quick response, and a screen that can be moved towards the driver or passenger.
There is no talk of commercial production of the model yet.
