The Geely Galaxy A7 Hybrid is capable of driving more than 2,100 kilometers

Geely has started pre-sales of the new Galaxy A7 plug-in hybrid in China. The model is based on the GEA architecture and is the first in the lineup to be equipped with the new-generation EM-i AI Super Hybrid 2.0 hybrid system. The main feature of the novelty is an impressive range - with a full charge and a full tank A7 is able to travel over 2100 kilometers.

Under the hood of the Galaxy A7 is a hybrid combination of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (82 kW) and an electric motor with an output of 175 kW. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.1 seconds. Fuel consumption in the mixed CLTC cycle is stated at 2.67 liters per 100 km. There are two battery options for the model: 8.5 and 18.4 kWh, which corresponds to 70 and 150 kilometers of travel only on electric power, respectively.

In terms of dimensions, the sedan exceeds the nearest competitors, including BYD Qin L: length - 4918 mm, width - 1905 mm, wheelbase - 2845 mm. Design highlights include an aerodynamic silhouette with a drag coefficient of 0.229 Cd, a 196-pixel LED strip and 19-inch wheels.
Inside, the Galaxy A7 features Flyme Auto, an intelligent system developed in partnership with Meizu. The interface includes voice control and support for HUAWEI HiCar. The equipment includes a 15.4-inch screen, digital dashboard and projection display. Complementing the interior are a panoramic sunroof, dual wireless charging and seats with massage and ventilation. The trunk volume with folded seats reaches 988 liters.

The list of driver assistance systems includes G-Pilot H3 with autonomous driving on highways and automatic parking. The top version features Flyme Sound audio system with 16 speakers.

There are five configurations to choose from, priced from 103,800 to 133,800 yuan, or about $14,500 to $18,650.
