Genesis unveils premium electric crossover GV60 Magma
Genesis has unveiled its first production electric model in the sports car segment. The new GV60 Magma grew out of a concept shown in New York a year and a half ago and made its debut at the Paul Ricard circuit in France.
The GV60 Magma features three-section air intakes, a redesigned diffuser, three-section side skirts, and a large rear wing that increases downforce.
The twin-motor all-wheel drive delivers 650 horsepower (478 kW). The crossover can accelerate to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds. The range reaches 790 kilometers.
Additional modes include Virtual Gear Shift, which simulates the operation of an internal combustion engine sports car, and Drift Mode with traction distribution and an electronic differential (e-LSD).
Sales of the GV60 Magma will start in the US and Europe in 2026. The price has not yet been announced, but with the Performance version costing from $71,875, the new model is expected to cost around $75,000.
