Chinese CFMoto superbike reaches 316 km/h

Chinese company CFMoto, known primarily for producing affordable two-wheelers, unveiled the V4 SR-RR superbike. The model has already set a speed record for Chinese-made gasoline-powered motorcycles.

During testing, the new CFMoto prototype reached a top speed of 315.82 km/h. This is slower than the MotoGP record (368.6 km/h), but already close to the production versions of the Kawasaki Ninja H2 (336 km/h), Ducati Panigale V4 R (317 km/h), and BMW M 1000 RR (314 km/h).

The model is equipped with a new 997cc liquid-cooled V4 engine. The engine revs to 15,000 rpm and produces 210 horsepower. The record was set on the factory version without any special modifications.

The production version will receive active aerodynamic wings, which increase front wheel downforce by 45% and reduce air drag by 12% during acceleration.

Also included are cornering ABS, traction and cruise control, combined brakes, hill start assist, and a two-way quickshifter for easy gear shifting.

The bike's official premiere is expected at the EICMA exhibition before the end of the year.
