Audi reveals Q6 E-tron Off-Road concept SUV
The German automaker has unveiled a concept of a dual-motor electric SUV based on the Q6 E-tron. Audi CEO Gernot Dllner called the Q6 E-tron Off-road model a reinterpretation of Quattro, which is the term the company uses for all-wheel-drive models.
The car is raised 16 centimeters compared to the base Q6 E-tron model. The front and rear axles of the Audi Q6 E-tron Off-Road feature electric motors with a total output of 380 kW. A peak torque of 13,399 Nm is claimed. This is an increase of 4,399 Nm compared to the standard Q6 E-tron on Volkswagen's Premium Platform Electric, also used in the Porsche Macan.
The top speed of the SUV is limited to 173 km/h. It can, however, drive up slopes with an incline of up to 45 degrees.
The Audi Q6 E-tron Offroad will be presented at the FAT International Ice Race in Austria on February 1. No word yet on the release of a commercial version.
