The Ariel Rider MUDD 72V electric bike can reach speeds of up to 105 km/h.

Ariel Rider has opened pre-orders for its new MUDD 72V electric bike. Its capabilities are more reminiscent of entry-level electric motorcycles than a traditional bicycle.

Propulsion is provided by an oil-cooled rear hub motor with a rated output of 3,500 W, capable of briefly delivering up to 8,000 W. The claimed torque reaches 330 Nm, and the top speed reaches 105 km/h. Power is provided by a 2,808 Wh (72 V, 39 Ah) battery, which, according to the company, provides a range of 130 to 200 km, depending on driving mode.

Despite its impressive performance, the MUDD 72V retains pedals and a cadence sensor, and features a throttle control and multiple riding modes: Eco, Sport, and Boost, with six levels of pedal assist. Its design includes a front fork with 100 mm of travel, rear suspension, four-piston hydraulic brakes with 220 mm discs, wide 24x4-inch tires, and a reinforced frame rated for up to 181 kg. Special attention was paid to battery placement to improve weight distribution and reduce the risk of dangerous sway at high speeds. The new model weighs approximately 43 kg.
